Session on Copyright in the age of Artificial Intelligence
On February 5,2020 the Library of Congress, Washington DC organized an event “Copyright in the age of Artificial Intelligence”, co-sponsored by the U.S. Copyright office and The World Intellectual Property Organization. The event started with a keynote addressed on the global perspectives of Copyright and AI by the Director General of WIPO, Francis Gurry. The remarks of the USPTO on the event was given by its director, Andrei Iancu. Other speakers included Academicians, representatives of the US Copyright office, representatives of WIPO copyright division, Authors, Musicians, Entrepreneurs and Technology giants.
The discussions focused on various areas where Artificial Intelligence is extensively applied. It’s influence on visual arts, Music and consumer market place were widely discussed.
